Can I borrow a pencil? A question commonly asked between classmates; however, it may be part of an underlying problem that famlies and schools grapple with throughout the year. Getting the right school supplies for students to succeed in the classroom can become an expensive and unatainable task at times. We're here to connect students and teachers with those who can give a little extra throughout the school year.

According to a National Retail Federation report from 2024 , families with children in elementary through high school plan to spend over $800 on clothes and school supplies. Another 2024 report from Capital One indicates that spending per child has increased by 15% when adjusting for inflation.


Not only are families struggling to purchase all the school supplies they need, but teachers often pay out of pocket to keep their classrooms and lesson plans on track. A National Education Association article from 2023 highlights that teachers pay an average of $500 - $700 each year to refurbish their classrooms.
